Los Alamos National Laboratory chooses point2point
World famous Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in New Mexico, USA has again chosen PPM Test to supply RF over fibre to support their work. LANL have chosen to use multiple DC-coupled links which, unlike AC-coupled links, use 14-bit sampling to digitise the RF signal before transmission over fibre. Loughborough University select point2point for exploding wire research
The Plasma and Pulsed Power Group (P3G) at Loughborough University have selected PPM’s point2point RF over fibre links for their research into exploding wire physics and technology. White House Executive Order to Boost Sentinel 3
PPM Test is expecting an influx of enquiries for the Sentinel 3 RF over fibre system as a result of the recent White House Executive Order on coordinating national resilience to electromagnetic pulses. LACE to distribute PPM RF over fibre in Brazil
As another addition to the global sales network of Sentinel, point2point and Prodyn probes, PPM Test has signed an agreement with LACE Engenharia in Brazil – a startup focused on EMC solutions. Current Probe vs. I-dot Sensor
A current probe is not really a current sensor, because it does not respond to direct current. A current probe is designed to sense and integrate the first derivative of the current – or, more precisely, the magnetic field associated with the current being measured. A current probe is a self-integrating I-DOT sensor. In contrast, an I-DOT sensor can correctly be called a current sensor. Continue reading

The Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research (SINTEF) in Norway has chosen point2point RF over fibre links to support its high-power research. SINTEF plans to use the point2point DC-modulated links for a variety of applications, including monitoring three-phase systems in the grid and industrial applications using inverter-fed motors. Airbus in Germany chooses Sentinel 3 RF over fibre system
PPM are pleased to announce that another European Airbus site has chosen Sentinel 3. Airbus Defence and Space headquarters in Ottobrunn, near Munich have chosen to integrate the Sentinel 3 RF over fibre system to their data acquisition platform.
