Fibre Optic Links

PPM Test’s range of RF over fibre links are high performance transmission systems designed for test and measurement and harsh environment applications, enabling transmission of RF signals with total immunity to electromagnetic interference.

Using direct laser intensity modulation means the signal is converted between the optical and electrical domains with very low signal latency and no digitisation of the signal (AC links only*). The links are therefore agnostic of signal format and can be used for any RF signal.

In addition to point2point links, the Sentinel 3 intelligent system allows multipoint links with added functionality such as remote adjustable gain and automatic gain control. For more information, view our products or visit our RF over fibre FAQs page.

* PPM’s point2point DC links use a 14 bit digitisation allowing RF signals down to 0 Hz(DC) to be transmitted.
